Product Description

The LHS743X low-resistance backflow preventer is a hydraulic control assembly primarily used by water supply utilities—such as municipal water systems—to strictly limit the flow of pressurized water in pipelines to unidirectional flow when supplying water to facilities with general pollution levels. Its function is to absolutely prevent backflow or siphoning of the medium in the pipeline under any operating conditions, thereby preventing backflow contamination. This product features low noise, low flow resistance, smooth and responsive operation, easy installation and maintenance, and a long service life. It is widely used in water supply networks across various systems—including buildings, fire protection, industrial and mining facilities, hospitals, landscaping, and water treatment—where backflow contamination must be prevented.

Product Features

1. It consists of two check valves—one at the front and one at the back—and an automatic drain valve in the middle.
2. When leaks occur in the upstream and downstream check valves, the system automatically drains the water, blocks backflow, strictly prevents backflow contamination, and protects the water quality in the upstream pipeline.
3. Extremely low head loss and significant energy savings: Head loss is less than 0.04 MPa.
4. Air Barrier, Automatic Drainage: When backflow occurs and the main valve closes, the drain valve automatically opens, reducing the pressure in the intermediate chamber to zero. This creates an air barrier or zero-pressure barrier between the upstream and downstream sides of the main valve, ensuring safe and reliable isolation.
5. Space- and material-efficient, with flexible installation: Compact in size and lightweight, with a structural length of only 30% that of existing similar products; can be installed horizontally or vertically.
