Product Description

The flanged ball check valve uses a rubber-coated rolling ball as the valve disc. Under the force of the medium, the ball rolls up, down, left, and right along the integral slideway inside the valve body, thereby opening or closing the valve. The valve closes silently, preventing water hammer, and offers excellent sealing performance. The valve body features a full-bore flow path, providing high flow capacity and low resistance; its head loss is 50% less than that of a swing check valve. Vertical installation is recommended, and the valve can be used at the pump outlet of cold water, hot water, industrial, and domestic water distribution systems to prevent backflow of the medium.

How It Works

The disc of a ball check valve is a sphere coated with rubber or engineering plastic, ensuring a reliable seal. Ball check valves are classified by nominal diameter into single-ball and multi-ball types. The sealing principle is as follows: when the pump is started, the pressure generated by the forward flow of the medium pushes the ball to move along the guide stem away from the valve seat sealing surface, opening the check valve, allowing the medium to pass through. When the pump stops, the pressure generated by the reverse flow of the medium pushes the ball to roll along the guide stem toward the seat sealing surface, closing the check valve. The pressure of the working medium creates a certain sealing pressure between the ball and the seat sealing surface, ensuring the valve’s seal and preventing reverse flow of the medium.
