The DSBP741X single-diaphragm low-resistance backflow preventer is a valve designed to restrict the backflow of media. Its function is to prevent the backflow or siphoning of media within the pipeline under any operating conditions, thereby preventing backflow contamination.

How It Works

Installation Instructions and Important Notes

1. All pipes should be flushed before final installation.
2. This valve should be installed as horizontally as possible to facilitate commissioning and maintenance.
3. Maintenance gate valves should be installed at both ends of the valve; a strainer should be installed upstream of the inlet; and a flexible coupling should be installed at least at one end.
4. The outlet of the drain valve must not be connected directly to a drainpipe; it must discharge into a ground-level drainage ditch. The distance from the lower end of the drain valve to the ground must not be less than 300 mm.
5. In principle, the installation of this equipment in mines is not permitted. If installation is necessary, relevant local regulations must be followed; it must be installed by authorized technical personnel in an isolated and suitable space; and flooding caused by drainage must be prevented.
6. When maintenance on a backflow prevention valve is required without interrupting water service, it is recommended to connect two of these valves in parallel on the main pipeline (by installing a bypass line).
7. After installation is complete, when using the valve for the first time, close the outlet gate valve, slowly open the inlet gate valve to allow water to gradually fill the valve, open the air release valve to release air from the valve chamber, and once the valve chamber is filled with water, slowly open the outlet gate valve to allow water to flow through the entire pipeline.
