Product Description

The G400X grooved flow control valve is a multifunctional valve that uses a high-precision pilot-operated mechanism to control flow. The main valve is installed in the pipeline of the distribution system where flow control is required. It maintains a constant predetermined flow rate, limits excessive flow to a predetermined value, and reduces upstream high pressure to downstream low pressure. Even if the pressure upstream of the main valve changes, it does not affect the flow rate downstream of the main valve. The G400X grooved flow control valve departs from the conventional principle of throttle valves, which use orifice plates or purely mechanical methods to reduce the flow cross-sectional area. Instead, it utilizes a pilot valve to minimize energy loss during the throttling process. In the event of an emergency, the G400X grooved flow control valve can completely shut off the flow to prevent losses. It offers high control precision, is safe and reliable, is easy to commission, and has a long service life.

How It Works

When water is supplied to the valve from the inlet, it flows through the needle valve into the main valve control chamber, passes through the pilot valve and ball valve, and exits the main valve control chamber to the outlet. At this point, the main valve is in the fully open or floating state. By adjusting the regulating valve located above the main valve, a specific opening degree can be set for the main valve. By adjusting the needle valve opening and the pilot valve spring pressure, the main valve can be maintained at the set opening. When pressure fluctuates, the pilot valve automatically adjusts to maintain a constant flow rate.
