How It Works

The YQ98004 piston-type slow-closing check valve with strainer is installed in piping systems of high-rise buildings, fire protection water supply systems, and other water supply systems. When the pump is turned on, water flows through the conduit into the central chamber, pushing the piston upward and opening the main valve. When the pump stops operating, the backflow pressure causes the piston to descend. Since the flow rate through the needle valve at the inlet is lower than that through the ball valve at the outlet, the piston descends slowly, causing the main valve to close gradually.
