Product Description

The AX742X diaphragm-type safety relief valve is installed on pipelines in buildings, water supply systems, and other water supply systems. When the pressure in the water supply pipeline exceeds the relief valve's set pressure, the AX742X diaphragm-type safety relief valve automatically opens to relieve pressure. It can also function as a pressure-maintaining valve to maintain the water supply pressure upstream of the main valve. When water is supplied from the inlet end of the pipeline, it flows through the needle valve into the main valve's control chamber. The outlet pressure acts on the pilot valve via a conduit. When the outlet pressure exceeds the pilot valve's set point, the pilot valve closes, and the control chamber stops discharging water. At this point, the pressure in the main valve's control chamber rises, causing the main valve to close; the outlet pressure no longer increases. When the outlet pressure drops to the pilot valve's set pressure, the pilot valve opens, and water drains from the control chamber downstream. Since the pilot valve's drainage rate exceeds the needle valve's inflow rate, the pressure in the main valve's control chamber decreases, and the inlet pressure causes the main valve to open. Under steady-state conditions, the inflow and outflow in the control chamber are equal, the valve opening remains constant, and the outlet pressure remains constant. The outlet pressure can be set by adjusting the pilot valve spring.
