Product Description

The YX741X diaphragm-type pressure-reducing and stabilizing valve consists of a main valve, a regulating valve, a pilot valve, a ball valve, and a piping system. The main valve body features a full-bore, straight-through, streamlined design and is available in two configurations: diaphragm-type or piston-type. This product sets the outlet pressure by adjusting the spring-loaded pressure of the pilot valve and the opening of the needle valve, and stabilizes the outlet pressure through the feedback mechanism between the piping system and the control chamber.

How It Works

When water is supplied from the inlet, it flows through the needle valve into the main valve control chamber. The outlet pressure is transmitted to the pilot valve via a conduit. When the outlet pressure exceeds the pilot valve's set point, the pilot valve closes, stopping drainage from the control chamber. At this point, the pressure in the main valve control chamber rises, causing the main valve to close, and the outlet pressure ceases to rise. When the outlet pressure drops to the pilot valve's set pressure, the pilot valve opens, allowing water to drain from the control chamber downstream. Since the pilot valve's drainage rate exceeds the needle valve's inflow rate, the pressure in the main valve control chamber decreases, and the inlet pressure causes the main valve to open. In a steady state, the inflow and outflow in the control chamber are equal, the valve opening remains constant, and the outlet pressure remains constant. The outlet pressure can be set by adjusting the pilot valve spring.
