Product Description

The electronic descaling instrument utilizes a high-frequency alternating electromagnetic field generated by electronic components to alter the physical properties of water as it passes through the water treatment unit—the originally aggregated chain-like macromolecules break down into individual water molecules, and the dipole moment of the water molecules increases. Polar individual water molecules surround the positive and negative ions of dissolved salts in the water, slowing the movement of the salt ions, reducing electrostatic attraction and significantly decreasing the likelihood of collisions and bonding, thereby preventing scale formation and achieving the goal of scale prevention. The increased dipole moment of polar water molecules enhances their attraction to positive and negative salt ions, causing existing scale on heat transfer surfaces or pipe walls to soften and crack. Under the action of forces within the water, the scale eventually falls off on its own, thereby achieving the goal of scale removal. At the same time, the microcurrents in the water disrupt the living environment of microorganisms. Furthermore, the reactive oxygen species formed in the water oxidize the cell membranes of microorganisms and destroy their superoxide dismutase, thereby killing microorganisms in the water and achieving the goal of sterilization and algal control.

How It Works

A high-frequency electronic water conditioner is a high-tech, energy-efficient product that employs physical methods for water treatment. While preserving the chemical composition of the raw water, it alters the physical structure of water molecules to prevent and remove scale. At the same time, the micro-electrical environment generated by the high-frequency magnetic field inhibits microbial growth, thereby achieving the goals of bactericidal and algicidal effects. The product consists of a high-frequency power generator and a set of alternating electric field transducers connected via high-frequency cables. It is available in various configurations, including straight-through, angled, same-side, and opposite-side types. It can be widely applied in central air conditioning systems, industrial cooling systems, heat exchange systems, hot water boiler systems, and various other water-using equipment systems.

Product Structural Specifications

This product consists of two components: a main unit and a sub-unit. The main unit is a variable-frequency and fixed-frequency electromagnetic field (resonance field) signal generator, while the sub-unit is a device that transmits the signal generated by the main unit into the water to treat it. The main unit and sub-unit feature a modular design and can be installed either as a single unit or separately; they are connected via a shielded cable.

Installation and Important Notes

  1. Determine the specifications of the water treatment unit based on flow rate, pressure, and pipe diameter.
  2. The electronic water conditioner should be installed in series in the piping system, near the main equipment (such as condensers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, etc.); in a recirculating system, water entering the heating section must pass through the water treatment unit, meaning the water treatment unit should be installed in the recirculation line. This equipment should preferably be installed on the discharge line of the pump; installation on the suction line should be avoided as much as possible.
  3. Water treatment units can be installed directly on new equipment and systems. For systems with severe scaling (scale thickness ≥ 2.5 mm), the scale must be removed before installing the water treatment unit to prevent it from breaking off and clogging the pipes.
  4. For circulating water systems that operate year-round, it is advisable to install a bypass line to allow for maintenance of water treatment equipment without shutting down the system.
  5. The electronic water conditioner should be installed indoors; if outdoor installation is necessary, a rain shield must be installed. During installation and handling, ensure that the electronic control unit is not subjected to physical stress or moisture.
  6. A clear space of at least 600 mm should be left above the electrical control panel or along the direction in which it opens to allow for maintenance.
  7. Use this product with caution in steam or truss-type boilers.

Maintenance and Care

  1. The electronic water conditioner (electronic descaling device) has undergone rigorous testing before leaving the factory. Users must not open the main unit’s casing to adjust the settings, as doing so may damage the circuitry.
  2. Once the entire water system has been successfully commissioned, simply connect the electronic water conditioner (electronic descaling device) to a 220V/50Hz power source to start operation.
  3. To extend the service life of the electronic water conditioner (electronic descaling device), it is recommended that you turn off the power to the electronic water conditioner when the system is not in use.
  4. During operation, fully closed-loop systems should be drained at least once a month, with each drainage amounting to no less than 5% of the system’s total water volume; semi-closed-loop systems should be drained at least once a week. The concentration ratio should be maintained at no more than 4 to 5.
  5. When a system is operated seasonally or taken out of service for an extended period, an appropriate amount of ultra-slow corrosion inhibitor should be added to the water before the system is shut down to reduce corrosion and protect the system. When the system is put back into service, an appropriate amount of biocide and scale remover should be added, and the system should be flushed to remove the biological sludge that formed during the shutdown period.
