Product Description
A Gate Valve is a type of valve in which the closing element (gate) moves vertically along the axis of the flow passage. In piping systems, it is primarily used to shut off the flow of the medium, i.e. it is operated in either the fully open or fully closed position. Generally, Gate Valves are not suitable for regulating flow. They can be used in both low-temperature, low-pressure and high-temperature, high-pressure applications, and, depending on the valve material, are applicable to a wide range of media. However, Gate Valves are generally not used in pipelines carrying media such as slurry.
