Product Description

The S7B41F hydraulic normally closed steam trap is a non-leaking, high-efficiency, energy-saving steam trap that meets all performance requirements specified in national standards GB/T 12251-89 and ZBJ16007-90. This trap combines the advantages of inverted bucket and free-float designs; the float is the only moving part inside the body, ensuring a simple structure, stable and reliable operation, and excellent energy efficiency. It is widely used in steam distribution networks, heating equipment, air compressors, air dryers, and other related applications.

How It Works

When there is no condensate inside the valve, the float closes the valve tightly under the combined action of its own weight and the steam pressure in the system. When the condensate level rises to a certain height, the float rises in a controlled manner due to the buoyancy of the liquid, opening the valve to allow the condensate to drain out. When the water level drops to a certain point, the valve closes rapidly due to the force of the steam and the float’s own weight, while retaining a certain amount of water at the bottom of the valve to serve as a water seal.

Both the valve seat and the valve orifice are made of special materials that offer high hardness and wear resistance, and are equipped with cushioning components, resulting in a long service life. Installation Instructions

  1. A drain outlet that is essentially perpendicular to the pipe indicates that the arrows on the inlet and outlet should point in the same direction as the flow.
  2. It should be installed at the lowest point of the steam and water system.
  3. The operating pressure must not exceed the valve's specified maximum operating pressure.
  4. Before installation, all debris must be removed from the piping to prevent it from entering the valve.
  5. The bypass valve should be installed downstream of the steam trap to facilitate the removal of debris.
