Product Description
The P41X Single-Port Flanged Air Release Valve is designed for use in pipelines carrying water as the industrial medium. It serves as a device for rapidly venting air from the pipeline to improve the efficiency of water conveyance equipment and protect the pipeline from deformation and rupture, making it an essential component of any pipeline system. The valve features a cylindrical body and primarily consists of a stainless steel float and a plug. This valve is installed at the outlet of a pump or within water supply and distribution pipelines to rapidly discharge accumulated air from the pipeline, thereby improving the efficiency of water pipes and pumps. Furthermore, should negative pressure occur within the pipeline, this valve can quickly draw in air to prevent damage to the pipeline caused by negative pressure. It is widely used in various fields, including municipal construction, architecture, heating, HVAC, central air conditioning, agricultural water conservancy, thermal power generation, petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, mining, fire protection, environmental protection, food processing, shipping, pharmaceuticals, and light industry and textiles.
Product Features
- It removes air from the pipes, reducing resistance and saving energy.
- When negative pressure occurs in the pipeline, this product quickly and automatically draws in air to prevent the pipeline from rupturing.
- Its venting capacity is several times that of a standard two-hole air release valve.
- The float bracket is made of stainless steel, ensuring a long service life and making it safe and reliable.
How It Works
When the P41X single-port flanged air release valve is in operation, the float rests at the bottom of the bowl, allowing a large volume of air to be vented. Once the air in the pipeline has been completely vented, water flows into the valve, passes through the bowl, and causes the float to rise, closing the valve. During normal pipeline operation, if a small amount of gas accumulates inside the valve to a certain extent, the water level inside the valve drops, causing the float to descend, and the gas is vented through a small orifice. If the pump stops, negative pressure may develop at any time, causing the float to drop and draw in a large volume of air to ensure pipeline safety.
