Product Description

Oxygen ball valves are cast from high-quality phosphor brass, offering advantages such as high mechanical strength and excellent wear resistance. Used in oxygen pipelines, these oxygen brass ball valves feature explosion-proof and flame-retardant properties, eliminating potential hazards in oxygen pipelines. Oxygen ball valves are widely used in pipeline networks for oxygen-consuming projects in the steel, metallurgy, petrochemical, and chemical industries. In addition to the functions of ordinary brass valves, they also have their own unique characteristics. Strict oil-free measures are implemented during the manufacturing of ball valves, and all components undergo rigorous degreasing before installation.

Performance Characteristics

Oxygen ball valves are designed with anti-static and fire-resistant structures to accommodate the characteristics of oxygen transport, and all components undergo rigorous degreasing during assembly. Oxygen valves used in industrial applications are generally made entirely of brass. Degreasing and oil-free conditions are required to prevent rubber aging and static sparks, as oxygen is highly explosive. If oil is present on an oxygen ball valve, it is highly likely to come into contact with oil inside the cylinder. Under high pressure, oil and pure oxygen can explode, causing a physical explosion of the cylinder. Oxygen generators and oxygen cylinders must be kept oil-free; oil must be prevented from entering these systems, and gloves contaminated with oil must not be worn when handling oxygen cylinders or their associated equipment. During transportation, they must not be stored together with flammable materials or oils.

Product Features

  1. Flame-proof and flame-retardant: The main components are made of brass alloy, a non-flammable material, and will not produce sparks even when colliding with solid particles in high-speed gas flows. Therefore, this ball valve is flame-proof and flame-retardant.
  2. The brass ball valve designed specifically for oxygen is equipped with dust-, water-, and oil-resistant features. All valve components that come into contact with oxygen undergo rigorous degreasing and oil-free treatment prior to assembly, and the packing material is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
  3. The flanged ends of ball valves designed specifically for oxygen are equipped with conductive threaded holes to prevent static electricity.
