The SD44X manual sludge discharge valve is primarily used in various types of reservoirs operated by water utilities. Its main function is to remove sediment and debris from the bottom of the reservoirs. The SD44X manual sludge discharge valve is essentially identical to the J744X model. It is driven by a rack-and-pinion mechanism, allowing for quick and easy lifting and lowering. It is simple to maintain and has a service life of up to two years or more.

How It Works

The SD44X manual sludge discharge valve consists primarily of a main valve, gearbox, gear handle, and gear positions. To operate, simply press the handle down to the locked position to open the valve; pressing it up in the opposite direction closes the valve quickly. The SD44X manual sludge discharge valve has a service life of over two years and opens rapidly; typically, the valve disc is fully open within 5 seconds. The valve disc and valve body are soft-sealed, ensuring excellent sealing performance with no leakage after closure. This design facilitates maintenance and replacement. When equipped with a solenoid directional control valve to drive the hydraulic cylinder, the valve can be operated remotely or automatically. When equipped with a manual actuator, 4 to 12 units can be installed in a row to open and close simultaneously. The drive pressure is sourced from the water treatment plant itself, eliminating the need for additional equipment and thereby saving labor, resources, and energy.
